Turnover - Down On Earth [Vinyl]

Marking a bold new chapter for one of modern alternative music's most beloved bands, Down On Earth is Turnover's sixth studio album and their first ever self-released full-length. After years of pushing their sound beyond the boundaries of emo, dream pop and indie rock, the Virginia outfit embraces complete creative freedom, delivering a record that feels both confidently forward-looking and unmistakably rooted in the qualities that first made them fan favourites. Produced by longtime collaborator and live engineer Zac Montez, Down On Earth captures the warmth, chemistry and emotional depth of Turnover's celebrated live performances with remarkable clarity.

Across ten immersive tracks, including the singles 'Nightjar', 'I See You and Realize' and 'I'm Up, I'm Up', the band balances shimmering melodies, textured guitars and introspective songwriting with a renewed sense of immediacy and purpose. Following 2022's Myself in the Way, Down On Earth finds Turnover reflecting on where they've been while continuing to evolve without compromise. Their decision to release the album independently underscores the record's spirit of artistic independence, resulting in a collection that is intimate, expansive and entirely their own.

For longtime followers and newcomers alike, Down On Earth stands as one of Turnover's most personal and accomplished releases to date—a confident, beautifully crafted album that reaffirms the band's place at the forefront of modern indie rock.
