Deep Purple - SPLAT! [audioCD]

Deep Purple returns with SPLAT!, an album crafted in collaboration once again with producer Bob Ezrin. This release delivers a sound rooted in the band's classic hard rock tradition while consciously avoiding mere nostalgia. Musically, SPLAT! stands out as one of the hardest and heaviest Deep Purple albums in recent memory, featuring the band recording together in the studio.

At the heart of the record is a conceptual idea brought forward by Ian Gillan. SPLAT! explores themes surrounding the end of humanity, or perhaps the end of Deep Purple itself, framed not as a crude apocalypse but as a metamorphosis beyond physical existence.
