Forbidden Planet [Limited Edition Blu-ray]

Experience one of the all-time greats of science-fiction cinema with Forbidden Planet, presented in a stunning new 4K restoration. This landmark film elevated the genre by transposing Shakespeare’s The Tempest to deep space, featuring groundbreaking designs, elaborate sets, and a pioneering electronic score.

In the 23rd century, a United Planets starship journeys to Altair IV to investigate the fate of a lost expedition. Commander John Adams (Leslie Nielsen) defies warnings and lands, discovering Dr. Edward Morbius (Walter Pidgeon), his daughter Altaira (Anne Francis), and the enigmatic robot Robby. They are the sole survivors of a crew annihilated by an unseen force, a threat that now stirs once more. Unravel the mystery of this power and its connection to Altair IV's ancient civilization.
