Dead Pioneers - Wagon Burner [CD]

Following a packed-out first EU and UK headline tour, Denver CO's Indigenous fronted punk band, Dead Pioneers, unleash their third album, ‘Wagon Burner,’ released via Hassle Records. This album continues the evolution of a project rooted in vocalist Gregg Deal’s deeply personal 2020 work, The Punk Pan-Indian Romantic Comedy.

Key Features/Benefits

• Third full-length album from the Denver-based Indigenous fronted punk band, Dead Pioneers.
• Features the creative chemistry forged between vocalist Gregg Deal and bassist Lee Tesche (of Algiers).
• The band's sound blends spoken-word elements with punk music, stemming from Deal's initial artistic concept.
• The quintet is completed by Shane Zweygardt (drums), Abe Brennan (guitar), and Joshua Rivera (guitar).

Band Background

Dead Pioneers originated from a grant-funded expansion of Gregg Deal’s 2020 piece exploring his cultural upbringing. The initial concept of mixing spoken-word with punk music solidified when Deal connected with Lee Tesche. The band's 2023 self-titled debut saw immediate, vigorous positive response, with initial vinyl pressings selling out rapidly, cementing the project as a full-time band.
