Mork - Monolitt [audioCD]

Mork - Monolitt [CD]

Experience the new opus of monumental darkness from Norwegian Black Metal titan, Mork. Created by Thomas Eriksen in 2004, this album follows the intense and groundbreaking 2024 release 'Syv,' continuing Mork's evolutionary path and setting a new benchmark in the genre.

The Vision of Monolitt

Thomas Eriksen describes 'Monolitt' as "A stark monument to the unrelenting brutality of reality, the monolith looms above us, immovable, indifferent, eternal." This album expands the sonic and atmospheric depth of previous Mork releases, remaining steadfastly rooted in the cold traditions of Black Metal while challenging the listener with a sound that is brutal yet expansive, heavy, and epic.

Across the tracks, central themes include collapse, transformation, isolation, and destruction. The music explores the human condition through bleak introspection and grand imagery, covering everything from the crushing burden of existence to spectral wanderings through forgotten landscapes.

The album 'Monolitt' was recorded and performed primarily by Thomas Eriksen. Drumming contributions were supplied by Asgeir Mickelson, with additional guest vocals provided by Oyvind Kaslegard of 'Svart Lotus'.
