The causes are often as varied as the hobby itself and can lie both when using unfiltered tap water as well as through completely natural processes such as Fish excretions, dead plant residues or due to the addition of food. Since not all of these causes of too high phosphate values can be maintained, it is important to regularly control the water values and correct if necessary.
Phosphate absorbers based on granules offer a gentle and effective solution, as they permanently adsorb phosphate and thus prevent too fast fluctuations. This gives the plants and animals in your aquarium the possibility to adapt optimally to a change in the PO4 value.
The granules can be placed in a well-flowed place in the included filter bag, but are also great for use in so-called floating or multi-layer filters.
