Animal Farm [Blu-ray]

Experience a landmark piece of British cinema history with this newly restored 4K Blu-ray edition of Animal Farm. Directed and produced by award-winning animation legends John Halas & Joy Batchelor, this 1954 adaptation of George Orwell’s classic political allegory tells the story of revolutionary animals who take over control of Manor Farm, aiming to create a utopian society. However, their ideals soon give way to conflict and corruption.

Originally presented as a distinctly British production, it was later revealed that the film was covertly part-funded by the CIA as anti-Soviet propaganda, with a controversially altered ending from Orwell’s original. This edition features a stunning restoration in High Definition from the original 35mm negative.
