Kreidler - Schemes [audioCD]

On their ninth album for Bureau B, the internationally renowned Berlin/Dusseldorf-based outfit Kreidler delivers Schemes, an exploration of atmospheric soundscapes that maintains their signature rhythmic groove while feeling more buoyant and less insistent than previous works. This Pop/Electronic release steps into a more ambient space, characterized by the pronounced use of nature and outdoor recordings, crafting an album that feels both carefully considered and delightfully unguarded.

• Focuses on atmospheric soundscapes while maintaining a signature rhythmic groove.
• Features a more buoyant and less insistent rhythmic quality compared to earlier Kreidler recordings.
• Characterized by the pronounced use of nature/outdoor recordings throughout.
• The track featuring Leo Garcia as a guest vocalist is based on a field recording.
• The music exhibits a playful quality where structures are sketched lightly, delighting in unravelling rigidity.
• Recorded primarily in Berlin at Morphine Raum and privately at andereBaustelle, utilizing onsite discoveries like a gigantic cuboid steel oil tank.

The trio consists of Thomas Klein (percussion, drums, found sounds), Alexander Paulick (fretless bass guitar), and Andreas Reihse (synthesisers, electronics, field recordings).
