Midge Ure - A Man of Two Worlds [audioCD]

Midge Ure returns with A Man of Two Worlds, his first album featuring entirely new material in 12 years, following a period focused on live performances. This formidable 2-disc collection is thoughtfully divided into two distinct halves, offering fans a comprehensive musical journey.

Inspired partly by Midge Ure's time presenting THE SPACE on Scala Radio during lockdown, the album explores instrumental music where melody must stand alone. The structure reflects this inspiration:

• World One: Music: Features eight instrumental pieces designed to let the melodies speak for themselves.
• World Two: Songs: Contains eight vocal songs that emerged as the world reopened, reflecting a more divided and less empathetic atmosphere. These tracks are sparse, meditative, and touch upon the frailty of the human condition alongside concerns about current world discord.

This release is presented in a 2CD Mediabook format, sized like a DVD, and includes a substantial 20-page booklet.

Midge Ure is supporting the album with extensive touring, including a 21-date UK tour in May/June, dates in Australia/New Zealand in October, US dates booked for the summer, and German dates scheduled for February/March 2027.
