The Thing (1982) & The Thing Prequel (2011) - Blu-ray Double Pack

A chilling double-bill of sci-fi horror from the icy wastes of Antarctica. In John Carpenter's iconic 'The Thing' (1982), a research team led by R.J. MacReady (Kurt Russell) uncovers a buried spaceship beneath the ice and soon finds themselves hunted by a shape-shifting alien entity capable of imitating any crew member. Paranoia and terror escalate as trust erodes and survival becomes uncertain. The 2011 prequel explores the fate of the Norwegian research team in the days leading up to the original film. When scientists discover an alien spacecraft, graduate Kate Lloyd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Dr. Sander Halvorson (Ulrich Thomsen) clash over how to handle the discovery. As the alien threat emerges, Kate teams up with helicopter pilot Sam Carter (Joel Edgerton) to confront the deadly intruder before it spreads beyond the continent.
